Leitmotif
I’ll just do it now!
An individual operational decision is a decision that is made alone in day-to-day operations. Often the decisions do not affect anyone other than the decision-maker and even if they do, no one is necessarily explicitly informed.
Examples:
- I’m leaving early today because I have to pick up the kids
- I’m calling NN now
- I see more value in these tasks and therefore do them first
Notes
It’s important to note that just because a decision is made alone doesn’t necessarily mean it’s easier!
The process is basically always the same. Only the information gathering and thus the generation of alternatives is different if you do everything on your own (oE) – this happens, so to speak, within yourself (head, heart and gut) instead of through communication or others.
